This "Barton Creek Map App" provides an essential companion to Austins premier urban wilderness park -- the Barton Creek Greenbelt. The greenbelt begins at Austins world famous Barton Springs, located in Zilker Park just across Lady Bird Lake from downtown, and extends upstream nearly eight miles. Miles of trails provide a life time of easy access running, hiking, swimming, bird watching, and other wilderness recreation opportunities. Published by the Save Our Springs Alliance, the Barton Creek Map App also connects greenbelt recreationists with the natural history of Barton Creek, Barton Springs, and the central Texas Edwards Aquifer region. The map app also connects visitors and locals alike to the Save Our Springs Alliances
conservation advocacy, volunteer opportunities and current events.

SOS Alliance is Austins leading water watchdog, working since 1992 to protect the land, water, and endangered wildlife of Barton Springs and the Texas Hill Country.

App Features include:
• Trail Map – interactive map displays your current location and all major and minor trails.
• Points of Interest – displays trail heads, swimming holes, rock climbing locations, park facilities, and other park points of interest. Locations on map link to full descriptions and photos.
• Activity Guide – brief introductions and keys to safe hiking, swimming, running, climbing, paddling, bird watching, and other park activities.
• News and Events – updates on current SOS events and activities and other environmental issues.

There is no charge to download the app. The app does require data access and may incur costs related to data access, depending on your data plan.
